The Body Science Clean range is part healthy nutrition, a touch arty, 100% mother nature-inspired and a complete commitment to becoming a better sports nutrition brand. We started with the simple idea of creating a protein that still met the performance benefits of our athletes but is ‘free from’ nasties, kinder to the environment, tastes good and free from the common intolerances that a huge part of the population is faced with. What started as an idea became a brand within itself, Body Science Clean range. A range dedicated to improving your health and wellbeing with a no artificial, minimal ingredient conscience. We’ve drawn inspiration from the way things used to be and decided to keep things simple, sustainable, and natural.
Our aim with the Clean range was really to bring products that are suitable for everyone! The Clean range is perfect for all individuals and athletes who need a little extra energy and need to recover without any nasties or artificial ingredients. Ideal for those who want minimal, real ingredients in their products, but also want them to taste good!
Each day is a little different, currently it goes a little something like this!
Every morning we start with a yoga flow and meditation at 4:30am, 5:30am I’ll have a black coffee or a serve of Body Science SHRED and head to the gym for a session. Then head into the office to start the day! I always try and drink at least 2 – 3L of water a day, I add a sachet of Clean Tea (Lemon Ginger is my favourite) into the mix to make sure I’m keeping hydrated.
Go to breakfast at the moment is definitely a bowl of overnight protein oats, super quick and easy to make and tastes delicious! Heres’ my favourite combination right now:
Snacks for the day will either be a clean protein bar or a homemade treat. After I finish work for the day I’ll try and go for a sunset walk in the evening with a friend or pop a podcast on. We’re really lucky to live on the Gold Coast and so close to the ocean. I really enjoy cooking, so during the weekdays I’ll generally spend some time in the kitchen making a nourishing meal for the evening. I like to take some time to read and unwind before bed, generally with a hot cup of tea and a good book - currently I’m in the middle of ‘Whole hearted living’ by Brene Brown and really recommend it!
I’ll have to say that simply going for an ocean swim has to be my favourite. There’s something healing and magical being in the saltwater. We’re very lucky here on the Gold Coast with so many stunning beaches and clear oceans. I’ll have to say I’m definitely not an athlete in the water! My partner loves surfing, and he’s great at it, so I’ve started learning and giving it a go and it’s nice to have another sport to do together. I can proudly say I can drop a wave (baby waves).
As cliché as it sounds, find balance. However that looks to you! Whatever choices you are making, make sure it’s out of love and out of the best intentions for yourself and the ones you love. Pay attention to the food you eat, what you nourish your body with, the energy you accept into your space and the people you surround yourself with.
